Pros

Given that this is an international organization, tasks are valied and diverse. Job can be interesting. It is a pity that this company has so many cons...

Cons

The control and commande culture of this company is agonizing and completely suffocating. You will feel totally oppressed. In spite of the ethical principles it proclaims, harassement and bullying are practiced and tolerated company-wise, particularly when the actors are people belonging to upper management. You will never be saved: you can lose your job at any time and without any consideration for your family and personal circumstances. If the company can go without giving you any indemnity you will get nothing, even if you have worked hard and long. This company does not know how to value talent. They prefer keeping mediocre people who simply execute orders. Your independent thinking will not appreciated. Upper management are for the most egocentric people who do not like others to shadow them. These managers will not allow you to (even reasonably) disagree. Completely toxic environment. Be careful who you make relationship with. If you happen to be the victim of a whistleblowing procedure, your colleagues will have control over your destiny. They will all be interviewed and you will be judged company-wide on those basis. Management does not have any vision or streategy: 3 re-organizations in 2011-2012. The company does not know where it is going. It pursues aggressive business objectives (20 billion by 2015) and raises the pay to high management, while it announces 4,500 job cuts and raises nothing or very little to the rest of employees. Most of HR managers are unhuman and unqualified. They are paid a lot of money while demonstrating no value whatsoever. There are many issues unrelated to your position or performance, which will disturb you on your job. This company gives a lot of importance to stupid people issues, which should be a non-event. TE Connectivity is a relatively flat organization where you will have difficulties to go up. Completely inefficient distribution of work: managers supporting secretarial work. Salary packages are completely discriminatory: you will be refused benefits, which other colleagues enjoy and if you try to argue you will be given plenty of lousy non-sense execuses. Do not dare to protest: this company is not an example of democracy, on the contrary.

Pros

TE offers competitive benefits and a (mostly) casual work environment. Depending on the position, you may be able to negotiate a specific starting time for the workday. The company's size means that technology is always being updated, so it presents a good opportunity to learn new skills.

Cons

The business units and departments generally work very poorly with others. There is a bunker mentality in some of the groups that I had to deal with. Not every group was like this, but the ones that were made life more difficult. IT positions also require on-call support. Majority of jobs in the US are in Harrisburg, PA.
