Pros

Lots of good people to work with

Cons

E-Team is trying to shift as many jobs to low cost countries as possible without regard to the customer or products. I have had several heated discussions to prove that the implied savings is not there when you move to either china or mexico. TE has been transfering jobs and production to china at an alarming rate but still have a tremendous problem with quality control and maintaining the equipment.

Pros

Hope is that TE can do no worse than what current Deutsch management has done with Oceanside. Hard to say what TE is really like since management withholds all information and participation with TE for regular employees.

Cons

Two words: people issues. Deutsch has long suffered due to poor morale and low pay across the board. There are even supervisors and managers who work multiple jobs to make ends meet. Failure to attract and retain good employees and high turnover even in recent years. Future is bleak when good young talent come and leave once they get better job offers. Only those who can't find jobs elsewhere are left running the place. Most of the management are very underqualified and don't show any traits of being a leader. Current management is living off the reputation and legacy of the old Deutsch company. Management just does enough to get by with their new TE masters and are waiting to hit retirement age. This gives no opportunity for anybody to move up at Oceanside. All these people issues lead to zero motivation, poor product quality, angry customers, no new products, and a poisonous work environment.

Pros

Some good functional managers, some very sharp workers.

Cons

Sr. Management is horrible beyond words. In 2011 about 50 people quit, and another 50+ were laid off. I worked there when a respected and competent Project Manager left a Sr. Manager's office after a two hour "coaching" session in tears, and watched her sob in her cube for the rest of the day. He still works there. She quit. Check your Linkedin network before leaving a job to go to TE Wilsonville.
