Pros
Good 401k. Good experience platform for a resume.
Cons
There is no security in your job and it is not a company you should plan to retire from. TE cares more about making headlines than it does their employees. You are a number, and nothing more. The constant layoffs, furloughs, and high turnover rate generates low morale and a constantly churning rumor mill. Employees with 20+ years of tenure (with the intention of retiring from the company) are laid off like they never mattered. Insurance gets worse every year. TE is very unprofessional with contract employees. Their contracts are dragged out and renewed time and time again instead of hiring them. There are several contract employees who are currently coming up on two years without so much as a job offer or interview. This also contributes to the low morale. You are also expected to work weekends and give every minute of your spare time to the company, but denied a vacation day if one other person has the same day scheduled. Deserving employees with the proper experience are passed up for promotions they deserve for those who are friendly with upper management.
