Pros

Good training, nice people, good pay for a beginning job. Nice incentives, really good coworkers and a good amount of breaks.

Cons

Hard to move up, very sales orientated, customer service score depends on your team, even if you do good and your team does bad this could effect your bonus along with end of the year trip.

Pros

There are lots of opportunities to be recognized as a performing employee at TD through reviews. Additionally, once you work in a branch for a year or so, the higher ups (district, regional, etc) become known enough to you that you don't feel awkward interacting with them. This can aid advancement. Benefits are OK too, even for part time.

Cons

Part-time felt like a real curse. Despite consistently positive performance reviews and top account/mortgage numbers, the company just couldn't make full time happen for me. Also, part time means you will work every weekend for eternity. Additionally, the Penny Arcade is noisy and kind of embarrassing to have in the background. Dealing with distant depts over the phone with a customer at your desk can be trying as well.

Mirco Management to the max

Pros

Lovely offices, and some nice people work there.

Cons

The culture is 100% micromanagement, and the values of diversity etc are simply not adopted. From the top down there is a total lack of empowerment, trust and freedom at all levels, including heads and senior managers and the business is focused on so much of the detail - it completely misses the bigger picture. One of the most acute examples i've seen of a business who just can't practise what it preaches.
