Pros

A way in to the industry. Good to get exposure in a company like EDF while working on the reliability project.

Cons

Pay is lower compared to other companies for that level doing the same role as it is a smaller company. No official training programme that was followed for grads or junior level staff by the company. So no correct path to follow to ensure possible progression, so can be denied any chance to progress for any reason required by management. Not much career progression with the company (Risktec) as there is little to zero support from senior management. If reviews were done by management actions were either not followed up or SMART. No HR department at the time so no impartial department to handle any forms grievance or methods of discrimination if believed without being direct to management. Little to no opportunities to work on other projects beyond the EDF reliability to gain further exposure or experience on what the company does.

Pros

Generous PTO straight out of the gate Office parties

Cons

Little to no room for growth Low pay Vision plan is terrible Every department is short staffed with no plans to replace people who leave. Procedures are clunky and not streamlined. Long term plans are made but almost are never implemented on time. Always chasing a last minute deadline. All show and no substance.
