Pros

Nice CEO who sends warm and fuzzy messages. Lots of nice people trying to exceed expectations for the team, colleagues and clients.

Cons

Low pay and overly assigned employees. No performance accountability at top levels. No financial rewards and recognitions to retain. High attrition! New employees tasked with cleaning up messes left by those running out the door.

Pros

Leadership handled COVID-19 well. Some people across the organization are very kind and a pleasure to work with.

Cons

In certain departments across corporate, racism is blatantly acknowledged by managers who are at the director level but they do not do anything because it is their boss or a VP who exhibits discriminatory behavior to lower-level employees. I have heard them say (and I quote) to their reports, "White people are treated better and are respected more here", and "I don't have to worry about managing him because he is a white male." They do nothing meaningful to change the status quo for the people who are discriminated against. These managers, who are white women, walk around writing papers on diversity and publicly promoting company values of diversity and inclusion -- which makes their behavior all the more disturbing. HR is no help either because they gaslight you and ask why you didn't talk to a C-Suite executive that you've never worked with. The discriminatory and complicit behavior directly impacts the career paths of people of color. It doesn't matter if you have good experience or worked hard-- you will not be respected if you're not white in certain departments. Your white VP will give credit to your white manager for your work and talk to her about a path to promotion, even though your manager is only months in at Syneos, and even though you've been with the company for much longer.

Pros

I'm an assistant account executive. There are very few pros to working here. I'm overworked (60-70 hours a week). The managers and teams are horrible (probably the most unfriendly staff I've ever met). They are highly demanding and if you don't know how to do anything they are quick to fire. I've seen 2 people let go since I've been here.

Cons

SO MANY CONS. When I joined they said I could be promoted within a year. Completed BS. It really takes 2-3 years to get promoted and only if you grind really hard. They don't really teach you much and expect you to "just figure it out". I'm so angry I chose this place to work. So many of my friends are on account exec tracks at other places and have great work/life balances, get paid more and enjoy their teams. Also the work I do is so random - sometimes clients ask me to run data analysis work too which I don't know how to do. In general stay away from this place. I'm probably going to leave very soon. I know they might be hiring cause there is so much turnover here.
