Has the capital to do big deals, so customers seek Swiss Re for big, complex, deals

Cons

Every important job has to be in Zurich. Respect and advancement of women is, well, non-existent. They talk the talk about diversity, but don't walk the walk.

Pros

Very intelligent group of people to work with. Great benefits compared to other employers (at least in Switzerland). There are a lot of interesting opportunities if you are willing to dig for them.

Cons

Very bureaucratic and slow moving. Senior leadership is technically sound but not very inspirational. Too many times work is repeated and analyses are done with no implementation.

Pros

Some very experienced and knowledgeable staff. Good benefits package. Very good personal development schemes, if you are invited onto them.

Cons

They now favour bonus payments over salary increases. Lots of decisions appear to be made in Zurich. Attractive office in London, but with very few staff facilities.
