Graduates Program in the US

Pros

Decent program -- but certainly not the greatest -- for a first job straight from undergrad. (If you have an advanced degree or some years of real work experience then don't bother unless reinsurance is really what you want to do.) Being an international corporation they still have better perks than most but of course those in the home office (Zurich) have it best.

Cons

Micromanaged by folks in Zurich who don't really care about US employees. The people who run the Graduates Program are HR types who care more about themselves the program itself -- they lie to you about long term opportunities. Treat everyone the same including those who have several years of experience.

Pros

To start with very competitive salaries with yearly bonus very nice work environment ,nice timings morning 9 am to 5.30 pm but recently they are moving into the CET time but it is not cross beyond 9pm

Cons

A few manager are highly egotists .take things very personally even if they are smiling and say on top thank u for bringing to my notice ... . some are too interested in the personal life of the workers.

A Professional Death Trap

Pros

The best experience is working with a bunch of innovative, growth-oriented and dedicated individuals, who do nothing but foster company spirit, in their pursuit to make Swiss Re no. 1

Cons

The company as a whole, does not recognize individuals for their achievements, nor do they reward those that go well above board, to keep the boat afloat. There is this aura of "let them leave, there are tons of others other there looking for work."
