Competitive pay, outstanding benefits by U.S. standards (a month of vacation at junior levels), very intelligent people and collaberative enviornment

Cons

Flat structure makes it very difficult to be promoted. Too little communication and direction from management

Pros

The graduates program at Swiss RE was excellent. Especially for people with various background (e.g. science). Overall the company is one of the best to work for in Switzerland in terms of benefits and working conditions.

Cons

The insurance and reinsurance environment is not as dynamic as in other ones. Some people who joined the graduate program left after a few months because they were not challenged enough.
