Lack of Leadership

Pros

Great Concept and business model incorporating mostly high-end kitchen products and providing hands-on scratch cooking classes.

Cons

For the quality of the Chef required to execute these classes with excellence catering to a more sophisticated clientele the pay scale is woefully lacking. Lack of leadership, vision and creative strategies to increase store sales. No follow-up with customers who take the classes, missing significant opportunities to gain feedback, repeat customers, selling them on upcoming classes. Management was unwilling to listen to suggestions when offering ways to improve operations and profitability.
