Pros

Great 40% discount which is better than Bed, Bath & Beyond and WS. Have good employees that try their best with tackling unrealistic sales goals. Had a great Store Manager.

Cons

Accountability issues. Illusions of actually being able to make a difference in the store enviornment. No real power in management, Unrealistic goals on high price items like Jura, De'Longhi, Vitamix, etc. No tangible recognition to store when it has consistently made its goal but anytime the store doesn't meets its goal bad things follow. Favoritism based on how long you have been with the company and not necessarily work ethic. I fought for my employees and felt that I was being ignored. Had employees who would sell high numbers but it would adversely affect them like being told to sell a huge amount in a 4.5 shift. Shift Extensions are the devil to employees and I hated giving them. Hours rapidly shrink after holiday season. Was lied to by management when I was hired about the hours situation and then later told that this is how it works after holiday even though I was told something else by the same person when I got hired. Favoritism with schedules takes place and is subject to change at a moment's notice with no regard to the employee.

Pros

Great employee discount but can't buy it if you work here for a living. Out of several places I have worked at, this place had the most intelligent/efficient co-workers. So it was easy to communicate, ask for help, etc.

Cons

This is specifically about the location I was in, so I do not think this applies to all stores. Management-level employees were all about gossip. Talked bad about co-workers, and manipulated a lot of the new staff. It was painful to watch. I wish I could have contacted upper-management about this.
