It's not good, but I suppose it's retail

Pros

easy to get job, fairly flexible on hours, easy part-time job

Cons

Staff are just a number, constantly understaffed, make you work hard and impossible amount of tasks sometimes, they expect you to be great with customers when you are struggling with tasks that you will be told off if you don't complete. God forbid if you get sick and tell them you cannot come to work. Prepare for investigation. If you want to get into management, forget about your life, you will not have time for your life.

- good pre-registration trainee program which involves 4 one week residentials in a hotel - good salary in comparison to other comparison to other companies for the same role

- no investment in staff or training - incompetent managers who are under qualified - conflict between shop and pharmacy

Pros

I like that Superdrug are now bringing out new targets for workers to ensure that they are keeping up standards for the Mystery Shopper (STEPS and STARS) as it gives us something to work towards. If I am due any holidays I am notified and I am able to take them whenever I want to.

Cons

I feel that if I do something wrong within the workplace, that I am told that I have done wrong whereas if I do something that is very good, I am not praised or encouraged due to it.
