Good starter / part-time job: ideal for students or first jobs. fairly simple tasks like tills, stocking, and helping customers. Potential progression: it’s possible to move into supervisor/manager roles. Friendly team & social environment: best part is the colleagues—friendly, supportive teams can make shifts enjoyable. Good if you like chatting with customers and working in a busy shop.

Cons

Pay can feel low: pay doesn’t always match workload. Often minimum wage or close to it, especially at entry level. Repetitive work: Tasks can become routine (till work, stocking, cleaning). Can get boring after a while. Management: Varies across stores if manger and team is not nice can make it a stressful work environment.
