Pros

After working at StreamElements for almost 6 months I wanted to share some of my positive experiences: The onboarding was smooth and the team's workflow was easy to follow and adapt. Worked closely with the production team and art directors. They were always patient and willing to explain and help with new tools and procedures. Meetings occurred frequently for feedback and project sharing. The whole creative department would get together and share what they were working on, which was a great opportunity for learning and growth.

Cons

No negative experiences. The recent shift in the company focus was a bit unexpected and I caught me off-guard, but I understand the management side and decisions.

Good product, awful leadership

Pros

-Good product that creators use, although the YT offering is a point of contention with creators -Remote workplace that offers flexibility for your schedule -Smart colleagues that are pulled from strong areas of the industry -Pay is competitive

Cons

-Leadership here is some of the worst I've come across in my career. No accountability or real plan, which led to layoffs and restructuring shortly after taking $100 mil. They essentially reverted to a company before the funding -Leadership constantly looks to fire people instead of work with them to be better at their roles. It happened several times and will most likely continue because there is no accountability by 'leaders' and they blame everyone else -Almost no onboarding; you're expected to figure it out -Communication is terrible and a constant vocal point for employees, but no improvements are made. The most comms you get is a weekly all hands with the co-founder and that's pretty much his entire role -The company has no real direction, which really hurts not only your own personal growth, but the company overall. They constantly think of new things, but haven't flushed out what they already have, so it's talking in circles
