While StreamElements promises innovation and a dynamic workspace, the reality is quite the opposite. The biggest issue is the management team, particularly how most of them got their roles. Many managers appear to have little to no experience in the domain they oversee. Their lack of technical knowledge becomes glaringly obvious when they make ill-informed decisions that impact the product and the team. On numerous occasions, developers who've dared to raise valid concerns about technical decisions have been sidelined or even reprimanded. Instead of encouraging open dialogue and learning, there's a clear suppression of differing opinions. It's unsettling to see such a toxic culture where yes-men are promoted, and critical thinkers are punished. It's no secret that many of these managers owe their positions to personal friendships with the CEO rather than professional merit.

Management pivoted business focus and it’s back fired time after time resulting in employees losing their jobs over multiple rounds of redundancies. Zero opportunities for progression or reward.
