Senior Leadership out of touch Valley Girl mentality, where you have to play politics, even if you exceed goals Have to fight with management to fill orders with qualified applicants Lack of proper training and retention know how Senior Leadership instigates arguments and elicits behavior that unbecoming of professionals

Pros

Telecommute position. Life/work balance. Ability to see family on lunch/breaks, eat with them instead of having to deal with commute and making food to carry to work. QA was fair and very clear. Supervisor very accessible and worked with us to ensure we understood any issues that needed correction, tips on improvements we could make. Positive chat environment for agent support was maintained. Able to get a shift that enabled me to take care of other home responsibilities when off. Supervisors seemed willing to work with disabled workers/ workers caring for disabled relatives when issues arose, at least on the shifts I had contact with. Dental, life insurance, disability, medical and childcare flex plans, stock options were good. 401K I think. Medical was good in start, then gutted by Obamacare to crazy premiums and poor coverage.

Cons

Low wages compared to what I earned before, but then I was saving at least $1.50 an hour not commuting and gained at least 2 hours of available time per work day, not having to dress up for office, make a lunch and commute. until Obamacare made all health insurance for families cost too much with insane deductibles and out of pockets. Deductible/out of pocket this year was more than half my annual wage. My employee +family health insurance premiums literally cost more than half my salary, so other than simple Dr visits, it was not much use anymore, other than to avoid paying a fine/penalty/tax for not being able to afford coverage.

Pros

There are absolutely zero pros to working at Startek

Cons

-Very inadequate training -They basically set you up to fail -Are non accommodating to those with health issues of any type -Management is all talk, and zero action -They expect WAY too much of their employees -No matter how glittery they make it seem it's still a call center job -Pay was not nearly enough for the work load I endured -Nothing is individualized, everything is done with a group if you fall behind even once..tough -The whole job it's self is a con
