Pros

Co-workers were friendly. "Brand Warrior" marketing was innovative in theory.

Cons

Upper management did not value employees and experienced high turnover due to lack of direction.

Pros

Pays higher than most entry level & offers benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k, FSA/HSA and PTO. Provided a means to pay bills until a desirable career opportunity presented itself, at which time I was delighted to issue my notice of separation.

Cons

I feel StarTek lets the client trample on employees and does not put up any fight against the clients' ridiculous mood swings. If a contract does exist between StarTek and the client, it is either a horrible contract which nearly only benefits the client or StarTek makes no effort whatsoever to enforce any protecting part of the contract. Additionally, StarTek has a large problem with management members not being on the same page and employees suffer as a result of misinformation on a frequent basis. Many of the management support team are helpful and knowledgable however some are the epitome of unhelpful and ignorant to the point that explaining a thought process is just too much effort and somehow these members are the ones I notice move up in the company. The operation of the company indicates employees who are capable of critical thinking will be encouraged to leave but the company will bend over backwards to retain the robots. Additionally, StarTek violates State labor laws and blatantly has no consideration for reasonable accommodations nor with cooperating with disabled employees or those with specific needs of any kind. If you need anything, you better make sure you get a doctor's note for it.
