Pros

It's a great company that works with the community to make other people's lives better. They focus on taking good care of thier employees and give you opportunities for advancement.

Cons

The hours can be overwhelming as far as early or late hours of the day, but it is worth it because then you receive your portion of time off.

Pros

Great relationships, personal fulfillment, ethical organization in the way it does business. The "cafe" environment can be fun, lots of socializing, of course free coffee!

Cons

This company values the perception of success, results, and performance more than the real thing. It is not a meritocracy. Accomplishments are not valued via every avenue - you have to follow the right path. And in many cases innovation is not rewarded, but homogonized into something else entirely.

Pros

The pay is great for what you do. Performance reviews are performed semi annually and most of the time result in generous raises. Benefits for part time employees is great. Free beverages starting 30 minutes prior to shift and ending 30 minutes after shift at any location. 30 percent discount on all merchendise excluding gift cards. Tuition reimbustment is definitely a plus but only applies on business courses. Employees are given breaks every 2 hours. You do get vacation hours based on the ammount of hours you work, however the rate at which they earned has been reduced for employees of less than 3 years.

Cons

You are not allowed to tell a customer no even when they are wrong, which can belittle employees. This almost gives the customer permission to treat workers cruelly. As with any job company ideals can be lost in the actions of those in management, however corporate is very understanding and repectful of employees. Hours can suddenly change or decrease without any given reason. Unfortunately being sick is not an accepted reason for not coming in unless you find someone to work for you; not doing so can result in termination. Internal growth seems like a priority but opportunities in my specific district were few and far between.
