Pros

They offer a great, flexible schedule when it comes to your work hours. It was great as a part time job during school.

Cons

Their pay rate is capped significantly lower than that in the 5 boroughs and therefore I never had a raise during the last 2 years of employment. I only received bi-annual bonuses equivalent to 3% of my annual pay based on my performance review.

Pros

Other baristas were fun and outgoing. It was a sociable fun place to work and there was a lot of interaction with other employees and customers. We also go free tips.

Cons

Our store manager was very disorganized and not informed on the employees or their behaviors. She was also very inconsistent in how she dealt with issues or treated people.

Pros

Good advancement opporunity and a company that seems to be moving in the right direction. Would definately work if there were more upward movement.

Cons

It is impossible to balance work and life. You work at starbucks and they pretty much own your life. You make good money but they own your schedule
