Pros

Starbucks is a relatively mindless job, which can be very nice at times. the ability to develop good relationships with regular customers is a bonus, and depending on your location, the other staff members are great. free coffee is... well, awesome.

Cons

The job ends up being completely destructive to ones' self esteem. Benefits being a big reason for working there, the management attempts to remove employee eligibility for benefits is pretty terrible -- they'll go to any lengths to make sure you don't hit your quarterly hour requirement. No money, no respect, no benefits... well, no more sbux!

Pros

Great benefits, somewhat flexible work schedule, can be a collaberative work environment, can be a diverse employer.

Cons

Promoting less experienced individuals and not giving anyone else an opportunity to apply, exiting experienced and very competent partners without giving them an option to receive training, education or find another position.
