Pros

Benefits are great, hours are flexible, free coffee during shifts, weekly coffee bean or tea markouts.

Cons

Pay raises are no longer based on quality of work-its become an all around base raise for everyone alike. This makes it unfair for those who work very hard and are great at the job compared to those who do the bare minimum.

Pros

Great culture that is loved and followed. Great people. Good place to work. Benefits are standard. Strong vision. Clear 5 & 7 year strategy.

Cons

Hierarchies result in functional silos. This is strong here, and this behavior is vehemently defended, valued and promoted as a "corporate norm." This outdated way of doing business that turns off modern employees (note, this is not just millennials). Seen as an unnecessary "game," many will be turned off and pursue more authentic (and therefore meaningful) career paths. It's a great place to work, however it is time to focus on ways to bring forth collaborative leadership and sustainment, making the job relevant, operations transparent, and most importantly, meaningful.

Pros

When i first started I had no intention of making a career out of Starbucks. Now, I have no intention of having a career without Starbucks. For a large corporation, this company feels very small. Every decision made in store affects that store, partners, and customers. Along with the great benefits and the opportunity for growth, this company has it all. Along with the culture that promotes inclusivity and leading through the lens of humanity this company cares about people!

Cons

I wish to work in other segments of the company, but to do so I would likely have to move to Seattle. That is the ONLY drawback for me, which is very personal and not reflective of the company.
