      -Stable Paychecks -Challenging and Intellectually Stimulating -Good Management

      Cons

      Unpredictable Schedule (that's expected) Probably more than 2000 hours in the year is expected including field work. Wasn't a problem for me but that is a lot for most people. Poor compensation for standby days which there too many. -There wasn't a clear progression for me besides specializing in geomatics or airbo
