      Flexible hours, good people, reasonable pay

      Cons

      Horrendous management. Pretends to listen, then does whatever they've made up their minds on. Company slogans are total hypocrisy.

      Pros

      Big projects and opportunities to gain good experience. Wide range of expertise throughout the company. Opportunities to work in various offices. Many good people to work with.

      Cons

      This company is obsessed with timesheets and utilization rates. If your rate falls watch out as you will be a candidate for being shown the door. Some not so good people to work with.

      Pros

      There were some very excited and passionate young people to work with. Immediate supervisor was exceptional until there was a change in December of 2014.

      Cons

      Stantec hires on a project by project basis under the guise of "permanent employment". As all publically traded companies it is driven by shareholder expectations. Shareholders expect more than the company can deliver and in challenging economic times large turnover rates are initiated. Western Canada is controlled by senior management out east with no concept of operational constraints in the west. An environment group lead by a person with no understanding that surveys cannot be completed when there is a foot of snow on the ground and its minus 40.
