Pros

Company really takes care of you. You get the feeling that corporate cares about it's employees. Paid time off between Xmas and New Year's is a huge bonus! The company and management has a huge focus on employee development, although it's a DIY philosophy.

Cons

Management can be mediocre or absent (physically). The working attitude of the office (and the company) is to maximize the billable hours. Projects aren't extremely interesting or high exposure. Mentoring isn't a huge thing here. The office relies on autonomy and learning from your own mistakes as opposed to managers imparting knowledge.

Pros

Great Benefits Package. Able to work in a lot of different markets if driven to obtain the opportunity. Very Good intranet to obtain company wide resources and standard documents.

Cons

No professional services company (such as Architectural and Engineering Design) should ever be a publicly traded company. Ultimately, the client looses to the investors. Too big and too slow to change.

Cons

Fragmented company including systems and procedures; lack of project management software and tools, each business unit is in competition with the other, lack of alliances, lack of guidance from upper management, staff not held accountable, staff under qualified, lack of training. I
