      Pros

      The benefits are good, you get to work with some brilliant and amazing people. Everyone there is hardworking, dedicated, and passionate. It is awesome feeling when you wake up excited you get to go to work.

      Cons

      No work life balance. If it weren't for the company's mission of making mankind a multi-planetary species, its an exploitative soul crushing job. No one would tolerate what SpaceX demands if it was just any other company. You have to truly believe in the company's goals or you will be burnt out or kicked out by management.

      Pros

      The kind and friendly personnel at Space Exploration Technologies break any ice and set you at ease with a preliminary tour through the facility, removing all the nerves I brought with me, and set the mood for the actual interview. The gentlemen who spoke with me presented themselves in a kind, professional manner, making me feel like I was speaking with friends. I enjoyed my time with them, and was able to display complete confidence in presenting myself.

      Cons

      If I had anything to say here. it would be a suggestion, and I fretted over it during the interview, that the blueprint test presented be printed a little larger than what it is. I did my best, and after a while was able to familiarize myself with the subassembly in the print and finish the test.

      Pros

      By far the best job and employer I have had since leaving the submarine force 20 years ago. Everybody stays focused on the mission of launching the next payload and really must work as a team to make it happen. Because of the laser focus, there is no room or time for pettiness or office politics. I am proud to be part of the SpaceX team where we all have a sense of purpose and have a large impact as individuals and team members.

      Cons

      SpaceX is not for folks who pace themselves and watch the clock or enjoy hiding behind a bureaucracy. These are actually pros but wanted to emphasize that you have to pull more than your own weight to be successful.
