The company mission is clear, but how that transcends into yearly or monthly goals is very unclear and causes an unstable environment. The entire company is always in firefighting mode, focusing and prioritizing whatever is needed that instant. I'll be very clear...it is not the time commitment that burns people out so quickly. It is the lack of planning.

Spacex recruiting AND HR have a bad habit of promising a certain pay rate, then when the offer comes through changing the terms of pay. They will LOW BALL you for sure, and try to lure you with the promise of extra Over time. There is no Guarantee for overtime. If you listen to them though, its all overtime all the time. Not true, don't be fooled. Get paid what you think you are worth before accepting job. Myself and several others are grossly underpaid for the positions we hold. which explains the mass exodus that has occurred over the past few years. Best advice is to come here and get experience then go find work for a more trustworthy company. Also, the review system at Spacex is remedial at best. Zero goals set, when asked what can be done to get promoted your most often told "just keep doing what you are doing" without any real feedback.
