I don't even know where to begin. For one, it's in a constant state of flux; management is continuously breaking things to fix them.
They make a huge deal about wanting innovative and independent thinkers in the hiring process, and once you get in the last thing they want to hear is input from you.
All processes are autocratic; management just makes up stuff they want and force the analysts to put it into practice (despite their objections) and you basically just deal with it ("don't like it, leave" mentality).
Management are all yes men; they tell you anything you want to hear to your face whenever you bring up any kind of concern to them, but 9/10 times will just do whatever they want and/or just not follow up with you or help you out (unless you're one of their favorites).
You work long hours. 10 hours minimum. Doesn't seem like much at first but gets real old real fast. you used to be able to have OT by working 12 hours or coming in on weekends, but they cut weekends when I left and Im not sure if they cut 12 hour shifts yet. Wouldn't be surprised if they did.
They have a HUGE wall of bureaucratic language they hide behind when giving reviews, Basically, its to give raises to their favorites and give next to nothing to people they are indifferent to. When you ask about why you score on a certain section of your review is so low, they simply say "we'll talk later". Later never comes.
Worst of all, if you have any aspirations to get into another department, forget about it. Unless you're somebody's favorite or want to become a lead, you're on your own. Even then, your leads will just act like you just want to get out of work, complain and not want to give you any time for professional development.
Every other department at SpaceX from what I saw worked completely differently than this one. This is probably the one department you DO NOT want to go to.
Also, SpaceX wants to cut over 1 Billion in costs over 2019. They laid off 10% (probably more) of the company in January, and they plan on doing another mass layoff soon. Don't bother.
