Meaningful mission Ability to work with incredibly talented, creative, and passionate team members across the company Subsidized meals, masseuse Great mental health care benefit Once you leave, SpaceX brand opens many doors for you

Cons

Office politics/seniority often drives promotions rather than merit "Scrappiness" is sometimes laziness in disguise Managers who are expected to also be individual contributors and end up being both mediocre managers and contributors Stingy pay (including spot bonuses, pay raises) Burnout Low morale after layoffs Brain drain after layoffs results in loss of critical knowledge, setting business users and development teams back

Fast pace environment, rewarding to watch rockets launch that you physically built.

Cons

Many become worn out early on by the intense scheduling. Pay does not equate to the physical labor endured.

Pros

There are many. it really depends on your attitude, your manager, and working environment. Heavily discounted food, friendly people, stock options, free coffee, building Rockets! Not sure about career opportunities because ive only been here a few months. I have seen a couple of promotions of others since ive started. I really like the team im working with here. Most of the folks working here take a lot of pride in what they do and they are very helpful getting you up and running. Im much happier here than at my previous employer.

Cons

Work/Life balance is much better now compared to some stories I have heard. Expect working a fair amount of OT but nothing like years past. Compensation is within range for my age and experience but on the lower end of the scale.
