      Pros

      Mission driven company that prides itself on eliminating non-value add time sinks to promote a fast paced workplace. Everyone who’s working there wants to be working there. Subsidized lunches and snacks are very nice on long days Seeing hundreds of people on the beach watching a milestone launch is a very satisfying feeling. Young workplace with a very fun culture. Vacation time is given and able to be taken freely.

      Cons

      Work scope is continually growing Expectation is 50 hours per week on the low end with expectation that you’ll work whatever shift is needed to get the job done. Including weekends and second/third shift. At times strategic pivots in direction can cause significant amounts of confusion.

      --Engineering colleagues are almost all brilliant, motivated, and self-motivated --Incredible opportunity to have lots of responsibility early on in your career --Ability to work on cutting-edge hardware --Competent people are generally rewarded for their abilities --Get to work on problems no other company is seriously working on with the ability to change the course of the human race

      --Focus on going fast at all costs often leads to short-sighted decision making: "don't have time to do it right but have time to do it twice" --High-pressure environment often leads to long hours, stress, burnout, etc

      Saving Humanity in long run. Great health benefits Great team of highly qualified professionals They make sure techs are taken care of In depth training quick promotions due to turn over rate Gwynne Shotwell is amazing! No ahole policy Food options (food trucks, hot meals, grab and go's) meal stipend (partial like spacex meals are $3 and food trucks are $5) Stock options and bonuses team building events best place I have ever worked

      Hours are grueling raises are very small and stingy Hours are more then competitors which makes a high turn over Pay is lower then competitors which also makes a very high turn over In constant training mode because of turn over rate
