Pros

Good package & benefits Good insight of a large, multi-national company Nice insight of a high-tech, industry leading company Good tolerance training - you'll learn to have a LOT of patience Lot of travel - if your position allows

Cons

Creativity is not really needed if you're outside Japan - if you want to get involved in designing things, the best place you can start would be Japan Large & relatively old company = a lot of historical agreements, processes = a lot of time and energy spent on inefficiencies Not really innovative atmosphere

Flexible schedule and take vacation any time you want.

Cons

Huge layoffs of about 20% of the company have started with the biggest cuts announced 2/26/13. They want to be innovative, but the Electronics CEO is not visionary.
