Pros

The Insurance package. VAcation time, when you get it. The friendship you develop with other workers.

Cons

No communcation between upper mangerment and workers. Haven't had a review in sometime. Managers has something against women in the workplace. Managers try to turn workers like them, cold-heart , don't care who they run over. No matter how sick you are, they (managers) believes you should still go to work. Unfair to workers that managers get bigger salaries and bonus for less work, and the workers gets nickles and dimes raises for their hard, endless work they do to make the company look good. Workers Morale has hit rock bottom.

Pros

Advancement chances. Ability to relocate the family. I find that the pay for performance is available, however, you need to meet so many different standards (marketing, safety, client retention etc.) that it makes it nearly impossible to recieve the bonus potential.

Cons

Relocation sometimes trumps your personal needs... Compensation was weak, especially for people of color and/or foreign nationals. The company is still run by the good ole boys, even after the discrimination lawsuits. Sodexo needs to value the diversity of its staff and understand that upward mobility needs to be tied into performance and not just a membership at the golf club.

Pros

The opportunity to work independently. Believe me, you will be on your own spending the majority of your time putting out fires and defending your company from dissatisfied clients.

Cons

A company that places an emphasis on completing tasks that are internal rather than external. In other words, you will spend your time satisfying the need of the marketing department, sales department, finance department etc. etc. before addressing the needs of your clients. As a district manager, you will have 1 full time job answering to "Sodexo" and another full time job taking care of your client's needs.
