Pros

The product is great, the salary is great, benefits are still good

Cons

After Salesforce acquired Slack, Slack lost its culture, tools were removed, job its manually, onboarding is not structured, no collaboration with Salesforce folks, a lot of asks but a lot of uncertainty, lack of transparency, higher targets but less visibility

Pros

People are friendly and supportive, available to answer questions, decent pay.

Cons

Slack disguises itself as a great place to work, but beware because there's a lot of fake personalities. The company itself has shot itself in the foot by making it harder to do your job with all of the little details and mindless features, management expects you to put on a fake persona and email customers as if you're writing a long love letter to them. They spend too much time wanting you to like them and their product so much that they miss the point of actually listening to feedback from internal teams and customers alike.

Pros

- Decent pay (Far better compensation when Slack was independent) - Unlimited Pay - Excellent WLB - Slack-specific (not Salesforce) is phenomenal. Everyone is so unbelievably kind. - World-class product with a ton of potential for growth

Cons

- Overbearing, less than stellar Salesforce culture - A ton of uncertainty regarding the company's goals/direction under Salesforce - The combination of layoffs and attrition has lead to A TON of incredible talent leaving and leading to significant loss in cultural and institutional knowledge Ultimately Slack went from being a phenomenal place to work to just ok which is truly a shame. It's still a good enough place to work but it's never going to be what it was pre-Salesforce acquisition.
