Pros

Nice cars, occasional company dinner.

Cons

Not even sure where to start. Just by reading these reviews, I must giggle! It's very obvious that multiple reviews (all in same day or day apart) have been written by nobody else but Sixt management or corporate. Would not be surprised if writing positive reviews is HR's task now! Sixt is a horrible company to work for. They sell you this big picture, but will burn you out! You will work ridiculous hours, your phone will constantly ring, no work/life/balance, employees are unhappy, corporate office specializes in rumors, upper management is unappreciative and deceiving.....Hope this helps!

Thank you for your review. All feedback is important to us and we encourage you to contact the HR team for a feedback interview, so we can learn from your experience to improve our employee satisfaction. To really help understand where we need to improve, we would love to hear from you to learn in which area of the company you have worked. Furthermore, as a company, we strive to be as transparent as possible, which is why our HR team and management team has encouraged employees to leave reviews here on Glassdoor. However, the reviews you find here are not written by company officials--they all come from anonymous employees. In addition, every quarter we evaluate our employee satisfaction. Currently, Sixt USA is rated very positively by a vast majority of our workforce. In our intranet, every employee can review our current satisfaction score, and the anonymous feedback given during our reviews is seriously considered to improve our workplace.

Sixt USA - You will regret working here

Pros

I have nothing positive to say about this experience.

Cons

The company culture and career opportunity that Sixt USA sells during their interview process is a falsehood. The USA HQ in Fort Lauderdale is a negative, disorderly, and immature environment. Employees are openly negative about the company and their coworkers. Work conditions are strict. Salaried employees are required to clock in and out as they arrive to and from work including as they come and go for lunch. Hours are monitored strictly and employees are expected to consistently work 50+ hour work weeks. Their strange dress code for females includes no open toed shoes, no bright hair color, no distracting jewelry, no excessive makeup, and no bright nail polish. Sixt management forces new employees to work in their "Test Kitchen" and pull 10 hour work shifts once a week in an embarrassing uniform as Car Rental Salespeople in an ongoing "training" - they will not tell you this during the interview process nor do they allow you to opt out of participating. They essentially require you to work a second job to avoid properly staffing their Fort Lauderdale downtown car rental branch. Internal systems and processes are outdated and literally written in foreign language - most systems are written in German where the company is globally headquartered. People quit and are let go constantly, it is a revolving door.

Pros

There is NONE . NONE AT ALL

Cons

Where do I even start with? This company is joke on the name of work culture, HR , ethics. Management is superbly talented with demeaning people, always demotivating them, encouraging them to lick. Working in six was the worst phase of my whole career. They have no culture, ethics whatsoever. Management is superdumb . All they do is take leaves, don't trust team members, be on their cell phones during meetings, all the time being clueless, and put hacks in development codes just to make things right momentarily. The development decisions are taken by product owners who speak filth, are overconfident, and truly believe that quality is just a waste of time and they themselves are capable of being developers, SDET, engineering managers. I have never seen such complete package sort of people in any organization.... Lucky SIXT . One classic thing they do is when anything goes wrong, just go mad and hold the team responsible for that. There is not even a single percent contribution from the managers here but trust me they are very good with taking leaves , not present for the team when required and always being "under the weather" and contributing zero towards anything good. All I can suggest is even if they give you millions to join, this organization is not worth your time and effort. If you want to see how useless HR can be in any organization, sixt is the setting very good example.  To summarise, super dumb management, useless HR, bunch of over smart people who think shouting at their colleagues is the right way to work, constitutes the paradigm of Sixt. Runaway and run far if you don't want to get scarred for life.
