Pros

Relaxed environment when it's slow, professional uniform

Many coworkers are unwilling to help new employees, extremely stressful when there's no cars to rent out which happens regularly, guests get very upset when you don't have the car they reserved, management is unwilling to help the guest when the car they reserved isn't available, poor planning on management's part when it comes to which cars we need based on what guests reserve, very hard to make commission without committing fraud or doing tricks in the computer system, many employees that have been there for years regularly get away with doing tricks in the computer system in order to consistently earn high commission, most employees are in it for themselves and will do what they have to make commission, rental agents regularly lie to customers, late hours and sometimes have to work overnight all by yourself with no manager or other employees at the branch, which can even be a safety issue. I couldn't continue to work in a place that didn't care about its customers and was fine with all the lying. I didn't want to lie to any customers just to make commission.

Thank you for taking the time to review Sixt. To address your concerns, there are challenges within the rental car industry that all companies and employees will face. Under certain circumstances we may not have the exact vehicle that a customer wanted depending on seasonality, late returns, etc. In these cases Rental Agents have the opportunity to provide the most comparable vehicle to the customer that would closely match their traveling needs. Our Fleet Planner’s and Mangers alike work very hard to forecast needed vehicles based off of reservations and market demands. Of course, nothing can be exact, but forecasting demand on an hourly basis improves our fleet availability. Fraud is grounds for termination at Sixt. Any employee who commits fraud is automatically flagged on our reports. There is no reason to commit fraud in order to earn commission. All of our employees use riotous ways of selling that offer incentives and they receive a great return from our training practices. Likewise, there is no need to ever lie to a customer. Sixt prides itself on making customers feel as if they just entered into a five start hotel and this is exactly what we expect our agents to embody at the counter. Worst Company To Work For EVER

You will have a job and will not be unemployed.

Cons

Where do I begin, the place is a hostile environment, people sexually harass each other, they lie to the customers, and if you make a complaint to a supervisor watch out because instead of telling the branch manager she goes and tells the person that you told on. The Supervisor also has poop for brains shes is dumb as a door knob., but the Branch Manager is good.

Tampa is a fairly young branch so of course there are always growing pains that you experience when just starting out. However, we have realized the pit falls and what we need to work on and are happy to report that our branch is flourishing with an amazing staff. Our Supervisor and Manager work very hard to make sure that we are providing the best customer service possible and comfortable working environment for our team.
