Pros

The role is challenging yet rewarding and I work alongside a great team. Our working hours are flexible so I can work around family commitments and know that the company recognises the days you put long hours in. They are similarly very accepting of home working as long as it suits the work you need to do. The benefits are good and also flexible - you choose what you want to have. The company itself is proud to push all staff to act as if they own the company. Treat everyone fairly, recognise how we can improve the company and especially how to can reduce our carbon footprint; the company is keen to do what we can to help improve the planet whether in carbon reduction or aligning with charities around the world to help bring power, water, a future etc to all.

Cons

The learning curve is sharp; you are expected to jump in to a new role with both feet and get up to speed as soon as possible. As long as you have passion for a role then this shouldn't be an issue.

Pros

Fantastic organisation with very innovative products, systems, solutions and services. A great place to work for an engineer as you work with very smart, creative, passionate people and inspiring leaders within the Business Units. You can access to the global network of colleagues and there are numerous opportunities for motivated people who want to work overseas. Good pay and the company looks after you well in general.

Cons

There might be a great culture on a business Unit level but unfortunately not on the top of the Australian organisation. The CEO and Head of HR might say all the right things to the outside world but in reality their main interest appears to be what is best for them with narcissistic tendencies. If you don't follow their way and have a different opinion then you are on their radar which can turn to passive aggressive or bulling like behavior. Unfortunately I had to witness this with some of my colleagues across the organisation.

Pros

1) Good Subsidized food and subsidised transport 2) Interesting domains 3) Work life balance

Cons

1) Very few opportunities to grow. Avg experience in my team was 8-10 years. No one will leave nor you will get growth. So those with 3-5 years experience keep on leaving. This is across company 2) i worked in a healthcare department called Ultrasound. Only those who are there from 8-10 years will be getting onsite. Lot of politics from QA and dev managers in the department. Lots of frustration among people. Management turns blind eye. 3) Onsite opportunities are very less, unless you take your manager / lead to coffee and bars .Really pathetic situation If you are getting offer from Siemens Ultrasound,Bangalore. Think twice. 4) 3 months notice period .
