Pros

The time off policy was decent and work from home arrangements are negotiable. The benefits has a great support structure and the ability to travel around the world was interesting and fun.

Cons

It's big. There are a lot of issues that arise in America because of the German work culture and the differences between the two. There are little opportunities for promotions unless you are a white German male. There were very few women managers and the one that I did see was German. The politics within the company are complex and suffocating.

Pros

Cutting edge company with many innovations and patents and global market share. Many opportunies for advancement and oversea projects. The company is loaded with cash and is constantly gain market share throughout the world. In addition, Siemens has an excellent in-house education and training program. Siemens offer very flex-time and plenty of Paid-Time off and vacation days to its employees.

Cons

Some units work longer than normal hours. Too many acquistions in a short period of time. Slow down and manage systems and networks before purchasing another company.

Pros

Siemens communicates all aspects of the company to it's employees. Since starting a little over 2 years ago, I feel that I have encountered very supportive management - they involve the employees first hand in decisons. I feel as though Siemens is very concerned about the well-being of the employees, both on the job and off. The plant manager knows almost all of the employees ( 375+), and has a genuine concern about them. Siemens provides a good working environment, and encourages the employees to be a part of the company, not just work for the company. All managers have an open door policy, not just in words, but in practice as well. Not to mention, they have great benefits!

Cons

I love my job, downsides are long hours, but I choose to work the hours.
