Shell SBO is Worst Place to Work

Pros

1. Promotion and hikes would be good even you don't have any skillset. Just keep doing buttering of your line manager and you are good to go. 2. No need to work much if you and your line manager belongs to same region. 3. Biasing and favoritism could be good tool for you if you can use it wisely. 4. No need to have professionalism. SBO Bangalore has no high standards. 5. If you have good terms with leadership, you can live life like a government employee.

Cons

1. No Performance per Pay - No matter how exceptional or hardworking you are. You will get based on you years of experience in Shell. 2. Biasing, Favoritism - These are the principal values in SBO Bangalore. Leadership is highly biased in terms of giving benefits and recognition. 3. Unofficial Work other than Project Assignment - In Shell, some line managers have tendency to identify the hard working talents and burden-up them by asking them to work in projects and assignment where they are not even billed for. You are not allowed to tell you current project manager that you are also working in some other projects otherwise you will be culprit in front of your line manager. This will lead you to stress and ruin your work life balance. Even after all this, it is not necessary that you will come in the good books of your line manager. 4. Low Pay - There was a time when Shell was a pay master but the time has changed. Shell does not give good hikes to the people already working for them and also it has a huge chunk of your CTC as a global performance pay. Shell is powerful enough to take out that money from your annual CTC (which is already done in 2020) and you cannot do anything about it. Please read your contract carefully before joining. 5. No Equal Opportunity - Due to high biasing and favoritism, SBO Bangalore does not have equal opportunities for their employees. 2. Two Years Waiting Period- Even there is no guidelines from HR but if you have newly joined COE in Bangalore you have to wait minimum 2 years in Shell in order to apply to a higher role.

Pros

Great flexibility High contribution from Shell towards pension 30 days annual leave

Cons

Very political especially in Mobility IT, avoid at all costs! Retaliation after speaking out, there is no safe space ! So beware ! Exclusion still happening in Mobility IT.

Pros

Shell has a very good brand value and they maintain a very good working environment. The work life balance is pretty good and they take extra care for female employees. Salary is also decent. You will have lots of things to learn from their vast spread businesses.

Cons

Their is almost no facilities. Even the parental Mediclaim policy is crazy expensive. Also the variable part of the salary is quite high and it depends on company performance. So high chances that you might loose a substantial amount of money. Also they maintain designations which does not make any sense. There are many people with designation of business analyst are actually 2 level higher in the organization from people having designations Senior team manager. This creates lots of confusion with in and outside market.
