Pros

-Some very talented people floating around -Great respect for work life balance -Good pay + benefits -Breadth of company can offer alot of different job opportunities -Looks wunderbar on your CV

Cons

Way too much dead wood - ppl who dont add value but are too highly paid to move elsewhere. Working WITH them is fine, working FOR them will just make you want to leave. If youre talented with no network; you will have to bare with being swept up with everyone else and receiving the same pay as them. Decision making by committee - happens at every damned level, high annoying as a grunt because it takes forever to get a decision made but needs you to deliver 15 slide packs to help leaders get there. Sometimes too tolerant for their own good - seen some nasty examples of leaders whom exhibit everything but leadership qualities but are never severely reprimanded for their despicable behaviour. And we wonder how the reserves scandal happened? Please. Expats beget expats - you import 1, and suddenly before you know it , 3 more of their fellow "high experienced technical experts" ( i.e. mates he used to work with ) , appear at the desks next to you. Annoying because most are not worth their pretty paycheck. Sadly, new restructuring ( transition 2009) job assignment , is about who you know - not what you know.
