Pros

So many freebies and perks it was unbelievable. So much training and product knowledge from high end vendors. I was able to speak freely and knowledgeably about the product because I was able to try it out. I had bags and bags of product from all of the "gratis" and contests I won.

Cons

On your feet a lot, sometimes you needed to stay late due the high volume, and I hated inventory.

Pros

I loved working for this company. We had a great team, very positive energy. We worked hard but we had a good time and I really cut my teeth as a makeup artist. LOTS of training. and LOTS of gratis as well which is also great for increasing product knowledge. Definitely a great place for a makeup artist to work at some time in their career. You also can network and meet a lot of clients for freelance work

Cons

The pay was decent, fair for my position. My main drawback is working retail hours. It doesn't matter what position you are in, if you're in a store the hours are all over the place. I didn't want to commit to a career with socially abnormal business hours. But if you're in the beauty industry, you can't really avoid that.

Pros

Free stuff from different brands Monthly bonuses (sometimes) Trainings Employee discount

Cons

Be advised... This company may be up there on the Forbes list but it depends in what store you work at. I worked at this company for years and went through 4 store managers, one that was fired for sexually harassing employees. Salaries are competitive but they cheat people who have worked there for years and have new people come in with higher salaries, that's not fair. They will cut your hours and your days when they don't make budget. Good luck being able to pay your bills on those weeks. But the store managers will make a bonus on your behalf. No benefits unless you are full time and they don't give those out often. Don't walk.. Run in the opposite direction!
