      Pros

      Compared with other jobs with low education level, working at Securitas is great, easy, great salary.

      Cons

      I don't feel like it's a job for everybody. Many days are boring and I don't feel like the job gives me anything to wake up in the morning for.

      Good stepping stone job

      Pros

      In most cases, you can work on other stuff while at work. Such as college courses online, homework, or even if you can find another job that allows remote work (though not one that requires you to be at the computer at specific times that conflict with your security job's horus) For me, I preferred to use my on the job time as time for my creative endeavors. I like to write, and I got a lot of writing done at work. Felt like I was being paid to write sometimes. TLDR - The job is so undemanding that you can do other things while at work.

      Cons

      The pay. Face it... it's entry level, low-skilled work. They aren't going to pay much for it. Depending where you live will vary, but it will always be WAY under the cost of living in the area. You will either need to live with parents or have another source of income to survive (or many room mates to share costs). I started at $17 an hour and ended at $20. However, the cost of living in this area is double that to live comfortably.
