Pros

Secureworks provides great opportunities for anyone looking to get into the information security space. As long as you have a desire to learn, can think quickly on your feet, and possess a can-do attitude, this can be a springboard to a fantastic situation for you.

Cons

The recent changes have left a significant number of clients in a tough spot. Some of it is a reality of doing business, but there are a number of self-imposed errors that could have been easily avoided. As a result, selling these services to existing clients has become exceptionally difficult. Loyal and dedicated employees are now paying the price for these decisions. Internal communication regarding the need for these changes, as well as the communication to clients have been handled poorly to say the least.

Pros

- Good Dell Benefits - Flexible remote work

Cons

Management have no idea what they are doing, especially in EMEA. Secureworks is an established company in the US but not elsewhere. it's weird how all sales rep globally get the same target/quota either you are in the US or you are developing a new region which has no pipeline, existing customers, or partners. They expect you to deliver instantly without giving you the supporting tools to help, and will not give you the time to do so, expect them to ask you to leave within a year if you don't get business even you're building pipeline! Salary is not the most competitive in the market. Marketing is almost non existent.

Pros

Decent product, brilliant technical folk, work from home a plus

Cons

Leadership in EMEA has no clue what they doing. Strategy keeps on changing and sales targets doesnt make sense. For example, I found it very strange that as a sales rep in a new region which had zero pipeline, customers or even partners - I had the same target as a rep in an established region. Outside of the US no one really knows Secureworks and very difficult to compete with the likes of your crowdstrikes, trendmicros etc when you're not even a consideration on Gartners list. Secureworks as a business is shifting from a pretty good Managed Security provider to a Saas security player and with that that comes with some teething problems that they need to sort out ASAP.
