Pros

I have nothing good to say about Schneider Electric, they bought PELCO in 2007 from David McDonald and the private ownership under the guise of making PELCO the "crown jewel in the Schneider Electric empire". Since that day in 2007 I have watched in horror as they took a wonderful and unique company and turned it into just another one of their mindless drone companies. But here are a few good points: - As long as you are not part of their worthless top heavy upper management you won't be streamlined - You can rest assured that as part of Schneider Electric 's Borg Collective that companies resistance is futile and they will soon enjoy the misery you do shortly - If you enjoy company morale being driven into the ground by French and Indian mismanagement, then you'll love these guys.

Cons

After all the glowing praise that I and other company drones have given to this industry giant? What more can I say? How about: - Schneider Electric took PELCO from a thriving video security industry leader with a 68% domestic market share, 2,500+ local employees and 8 buildings down to less than 10% dms, literally a handful of broken original employees and closing the last building in Clovis in December. - Corporate Nepotism will guarantee that everything that made your company great such as community culture, striving to be the best and doing the right thing will fade into nonexistence as it worms into your organization like a parasite. - Morale will suffer as what was once a shared workload among 50 of your colleagues will be condensed down onto you and 8 other lucky survivors of the latest layoffs. - Enjoy working more hours before you're the next cut (now without any pension or other benefit package) as your entitled French & Indian management take more time off and holidays.

Schneider Electric Response

We are disappointed to hear about your experience. While we hope to maintain the unique characteristics of all our different divisions, change and acquisitions can be hard. When companies come together there will often be a cultural shift. At Schneider Electric, being open is one of our core values. We encourage transparency and most importantly ethical behavior from everyone, everywhere. We expect all our employees, regardless of their level in the organization, to demonstrate ethical leadership behaviors every day. This is our commitment and a critical element to our culture. Managers and employees receive the same time off (with extra days accrued after a certain amount of years with the company) and holidays, and if someone is abusing this or an employee wants to escalate any concern, we encourage them to use our R&ED (Ethics) Line, which is a 100% confidential, 3rd party neutral reporting system. All reports are investigated and corrective actions are implemented. At Schneider Electric, we take pride in our diverse and open culture. We are working hard to build one of the most inclusive organizations in the world, but experiences like yours will not help us get to that place. If an employee is feeling frustrated, we encourage them to discuss the situation confidentially with a local HR rep. In addition, we’re in the process of training all managers and employees on how to avoid “Unconscious Bias” in the workplace. We take diversity seriously and are committed to building a more inclusive community for you and all of our employees. Our policies are designed to support our employees to manage effectively their work-life and family needs at different stages in life. Our newly launched North America family leave policy was redesigned with our employee needs in mind, and we believe policies like this will lead us to be a more inclusive and diverse company and ultimately, a better long-term home for our employees. We are continuously focused on developing as a company, and your feedback has been escalated for further investigation. Thank you for your willingness to share your honest review.

Pros

There we no "pros" attached to working for this bullying thug of corporate mess. Take my sincerest advice and don't look for work here.

Cons

Long (unpaid) working hours - 60 - 70 hrs a week being the expected norm (paid for 37) No support nor even understanding of nature and complexity of work from management with zero engineering capability (being wholly sales focussed). Entrenched culture of employee expendability Very poor engineering capability (verging on dangerous incompetence) Heavily reliant on cheap (desperate?) migrant labour from EU and Asian Subcontinent

Pros

No pros I can think of.

Cons

AI Hub is a wing within Schneider Electric which has pathetic work culture and very bad leadership. The India leader of AI Hub goes up to the extent of abusing resources in Hindi. Not open to any ideas from subordinates its just my way or highway. Lot of micro management where the VP attends daily scrum meetings and scold the engineering team. You will not have any hikes and the VP makes sure that you do not even get your variable pay. You will always be scared that you will be thrown out of the company if you do not do what I say. HR is also aware but they are hand in hand with the AI Hub Indian VP.
