Pros

None that I noticed during my short stay. Probably relatively decent salary for some professions, but not worth it.

Cons

Long story short: I was offered a job at the Sodertalje office of Scania - permanent, with benefits and possibilities for long-term career. The hiring manager told me the working language was English. The recruitment process was fully in English. At my first day I noticed that everyone works in Swedish. I asked about it the hiring manager, who recruited me (since I am not fully fluent in Swedish and confident), He got me fired swiftly. HR supported him. Although I insisted repeatedly on working on. Do not believe for a second the corporate English or inclusive international environment. Or highly qualified professionals (this is only judging from the hiring manager I met, I do not mean to offend any brilliant professional there I haven't met).

Pros

no actual performance is required

Cons

politics and relations play the key role and not the competence and merit. I was a manager for more that 3 wasted years in autonomous driving section. I cannot believe what I saw during these years. There is a systematic silencing going on, so your word is never heard and it is even very probable that they suppress you. They hire people first based on relations and connections, second internally from Scania even if there is no fit for the position, third based on gender (women preferred) and last if non of the above applies they look for outside candidates. They have a lot of fake experts (which have good relations with the managers) with no relevant competence in the technical area, yet they advertise them and promote them very often, something which demotivates real talents to do actual work. There is max limit for development if you are not Swedish, i.e. you will never actually grow in this company.
