Pros

Scania global is of great reputation and good to deal. Flat hierarchy ( everyone acts like a boss :-). The factory is top class!

Cons

-India management is hopeless esp the quality of expats ( Swedes). They have no background of India and how business is done in India. Scania Global sends interns in top positions in India and these expats just waste time in India without having a proper strategy. Its more like a vacation for them. -Highly loss making operations in India. Poor sales and under heavy pressure to cut losses. If they carry on like this will end up in the same fate like Chevrolet in India. - Work timing is too long 8am to 5.30pm. The office is too far from Bangalore city ( one way 1.5 hrs towards Kolar from MG Road) - the general quality of staff hired in the India operations is poor compared to other Indian companies. - the expats are poor decision makers, lack ideas, creativity and in some cases have no experience handling the job assigned to them. Too much infighting between various depts in getting work done. - Very uncertain future for this company, waste of time and energy. If you have another good job do not leave to join here even if they pay well. - Employees are demotivated due to poor state of the company performance - factory and mgmt employees quitting, very poor sales of trucks/buses and low increments.

Pros

A very respectful employer. If you are eager to work and learn, Scania gives you opportunities for that. A nice working environment. Very proud of the Scania brand.

Cons

Too slow decisions, sometimes. More digitalisation needed. More strategy explained in simple terms to employees. They should demand more from employees. There should be more consequences if employees dont accomplish working standards.
