Pros

Scania has a very serious approach to employee development and a great people culture. Decision-making is to a large extent pushed down in the hierarchy, which promotes dedication among employees.

Cons

Sometimes the top does not keep up with what the needs that are identified at the bottom of the organisation. The corporate structure is very top-down and there is a lack of bottom-up feedback to make it more solid and credible. Good career opportunities in the sense of trying different positions. Very hard to reach management positions above department level unless you have personal connections in top management OR came into the company as a trainee. Literally, all top managers are ex-trainees. Not great salary develoment.
