Pros

Large company with many possibilities. Many fun and cutting edge projects.

Cons

Very low salary. Best (almost only) way to get decent pay is to become group manager or higher manager. Becoming a specialist in your field will never pay off. Bureaucratic processes are slowing everything down. Managers are afraid to make decisions so you will have to do some of the work as "skunk work" and show them the same design and figures in many different ways over a couple of months before you can take the project to next level.

Pros

Scania is a great place to work. One can easily balance work and family life working for Scania. The managers are very cordial and easy to get along. This place gives you every opportunity to grow in any field one would like to. Hence if one is bored with their task they can move to groups with other disciplines.

Cons

The salary is not as attractive as it is in some other company with similar reputation. Also the work environment is not enough international that one would expect from such an old and reputed company.
