Pros

Generally good people working there after many of the spaniards, brazilians, etc. that came in with Sovereign acquisition have left. Compensation is strong to retain employees

Cons

The model of having all things run through Spain is nuts. And the IT model of sub companies based in Spain, paid as contractors in the US is not one that works for advanced markets. When business requirements are translated, literally, theres a lot lost in translation. My opinion is its intentional to allow centralized IT in Spain continue to dictate the direction of the company based on cost savings from shared technology. Fine with emerging markets...but US is a different game.

Pros

2 weeks paid vaca, 8 paid holidays, completely paid for health insurance, 10% annual bonus, very casual dress code, great people, employee appreciation week and more.

Cons

If you aren't a chosen person by upper management you will have a very difficult time moving up - they basically have someone in mind for positions before they are even posted. Negotiate your salary up front as they do not give any type of merit increase ever.

Pros

My hours were only 9am-5pm with an hour lunch break; that is honestly the only positive thing that I can think of from my whole time there

Cons

- No-one in management seems to have any idea of what work is actually carried out, not a single one could perform the duties of anyone below them. They are so far disconnected from the day-to-day operations of the company that they have zero insight as to what is going on - Guidelines and processes change on a near-constant basis with no-one being notified - no-one was ever sure of what the correct procedures for any tasks were - Absolutely zero prospects for career progression - Incredibly poor pay and bonus structure. Contractors will be paid up to five times more than you for doing the same work (typically to a far poorer standard)
