Management treats people like they are tools. From the top of the organization all the way down to the temporary workers. They inspire no loyalty or trust. They have no understanding of teamwork

It depends on where you work, and who you work for. You could get a fantastic boss and work with an encouraging team. And then, you could get a horrible boss who is a bully and rules with an iron fist. People don't stand up for their rights - they are too afraid. Scientists do NOT always make good managers. I find that a lot of bosses totally lack people skills. There is a lot of REALLY bad behavior in this company. You may avoid it, but you may not.
