      Pros

      Nice benefits, decent pay. Nice colleagues, though most of them are contractors. IT was in-sourced over the last couple of years, so everyone you need is there.

      Cons

      No advancement. Global IT consolidation is under way and out-sourcing is back in the mix. IT is very cautious about using any new technology. Job cuts on a regular basis, especially if the company has no new products to sell. Beware - just like any other pharma.

      Pros

      Excellent benefits. Reasonable pay. Challenging place to work. Lots of opportunities to try your hand at new tasks. Good people to work with.

      Cons

      Too many silos and ivory towers. Limited growth. Poor communication. Unrealistic expectations of workers. Inability to plan for short or long term. Constant fire fighting. No organized plan for development and growth or if there is one it isn't communicated. Very little support and training of low and middle level management. In effective HR department. Not quality focused.

      Cons

      Some of the IT managers are do not know how to manage. They got promoted just because the company was making tons of money and growing in past.
