Pros

Great benefits and flexible working hour. Maintaining a good work/life balance. Tuition Re-reimbursement program, great medical and dental coverage, lots of smart people work together.

Cons

Very hierarchical, not much growth potential, extremely political work environment. There is no penalizing scheme for poor performer. Some people just ride along the tide and get by doing nothing.

Pros

The pharmaceutical industry is still a great industry to work in. Sanofi Aventis has been very diligent about protecting the jobs of the people that they employ.

Cons

The single most difficult thing about SA right now is CHANGE. The company like the industry is going through and will continue to go through changes. The other challenges involve being hobbled by the legal department and having to make do with materials coming from some parts of the marketing department.
